Frequently Asked Questions

What makes The Acrylic Gallery different?  Our pieces are designed at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and contemporary art.  Every table and wall installation is thoughtfully engineered, precision fabricated, and individually assembled using premium acrylic materials. Rather than mass-producing décor, we create statement pieces designed to become lasting focal points within a home or commercial space.

Are your products handmade?

Yes.  Every piece is individually fabricated, assembled, inspected, and packaged in our Palm Springs, California studio. Because each item is made to order, slight variations can be part of the character of handcrafted work.

We use premium cast acrylic, stainless steel hardware, tempered glass, and professional-grade adhesives when needed.  Many pieces incorporate multiple layers of acrylic to create depth, light, and dimensional color.

What materials do you use?
Is acrylic durable?

Yes.  High-quality cast acrylic is exceptionally durable, lightweight compared to glass, and resistant to shattering under normal use. It also provides exceptional optical clarity and vibrant color that remains beautiful for years when properly cared for.

Like all premium surfaces—including glass, polished stone, and lacquered furniture—acrylic can scratch if abrasive materials are used.  We recommend cleaning only with a soft microfiber cloth and an acrylic-safe cleaner.  With proper care, acrylic maintains its beauty for many years.  We use tempered glass table tops instead of acrylic tops to mitigate scratching and cleaning issues.

Does acrylic scratch?
Are your pieces custom or made to order?

Yes.  Every product is built specifically for each customer after an order is placed. This allows us to carefully fabricate, inspect, and finish every piece to our quality standards.  Many of our designs can be customized in size, colors, layout configuration, installation, etc.  If you have a specific vision, we'd be happy to discuss a custom design.

Can I choose my colors?

Yes.  We offer a wide variety of colors pending supplier availability.  We'll discuss your preferred colors before your order and supply the hex number so you're confident of your color choice.

Every project begins with a conversation. Contact us to discuss your vision, dimensions, colors, and design goals, and we'll provide an estimated price range and production timeline.  If you'd like to move forward,  we'll begin the Preliminary Design phase with a $200 fee.  This fee covers professional design services and formal pricing and is therefore non-refundable.  If you move forward with your project, the fee will be credited toward your purchase.

Once you approve the Preliminary Design, we'll collect a 50% deposit and begin production.  Our Customer Assurance process includes design and color palette  approval to ensure you're getting exactly what you ordered and there's no surprises when delivered.  The remaining 50% will then be due before shipment.

How do I place and pay for an order?
Will I see my piece after I order?

We'll provide computer drawings and dimensions of your piece before its gets into Production to ensure you're happy and confident of the colors , size, and configuration.

All products ship or are delivered from our studio in Palm Springs, California.  We primarily ship through trusted national carriers including UPS and FedEx. Larger pieces may occasionally require specialized freight service to ensure safe delivery.

How are products packaged?

Every piece is individually wrapped using multiple layers of protective materials and custom packaging techniques designed to minimize movement during transit.  Protecting your purchase is one of our highest priorities.

What is your return policy?

If production capacity allows, expedited fabrication may be available.  Please contact us before ordering so we can discuss your schedule.

Because of the custom, made-to-order nature of our work, we are not able to accept returns or offer exchanges.  Once your order is placed, cancellations will not be permitted.

Many minor surface scratches can be polished out using acrylic polishing products.  If significant damage occurs, please contact us before attempting repairs.

Can acrylic be repaired?
How is the wall art installed?

Each installation includes engineered mounting hardware along with installation instructions.  Larger pieces may require two people for installation.

Is installation hardware included?

Yes.  All required mounting hardware appropriate for the artwork is included unless otherwise noted.

How much weight can your tables support?

Our tables are engineered for normal residential use.

Because every design differs, weight capacities vary by model. If you have a specific application, please contact us before purchasing.

Can acrylic furniture be used outdoors?

Some pieces are suitable for covered outdoor environments.  However, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and weather may shorten the life of acrylic finishes. We generally recommend indoor use unless a product is specifically identified for outdoor use
